Land Bank Lease

Resolved the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners does hereby approve the Office Space Lease with the Calhoun County Land Bank as presented and authorizes the Board Chairperson to sign the agreement on behalf of the County.
It is the recommendation of County Administration that the Board of Commissioners approve the Land Bank’s five-year lease agreement, to include 1,104 square feet of office space on the 2nd floor of the County Building in Marshall, for the annual lease amount of $13,685.
In January 2015, the Board approved the original lease with the Land Bank Authority for office space in the Treasurer’s Office. An amendment to the Land Bank lease was approved in 2018 when they moved to expanded office space on the 2nd floor of the County Building . The original lease agreement with amendment expires in December 2019. The proposed Land Bank lease represents 1,104 square feet of office space at a cost of $12.40 per square foot. The effective date of the lease would be January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024.
County Administration recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the Land Bank 5-year lease agreement which includes 1,104 square feet of office space on the 2nd floor of the Marshall Building at an annual cost of $13,685 per year.
Lease revenue totaling $13,685 per year will be generated in the B&G Fund- County Building (#63-6266) for the next five years.
