2021 Staffing Allocation Change - Admin Services

Resolved the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners does hereby approve changes to the 2021 Authorized Staffing Allocation Report for the Admin Services Department as presented.
It is recommended that the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners approve changes to the 2021 Authorized Staffing Allocation Report for the Admin Services Department as presented.
Due to two recent vacancies occurring in the Administrative Services Department, the Asst. County Administrator, Brad Wilcox, took the opportunity to review the positions and is recommending a reorganization of the roles and structure. In the initial stage of the proposed plan, the current Purchasing Coordinator position is to be reclassified to an Operations Coordinator to expand the responsibilities outside of purchasing exclusively. The reclassification process in Board Policy #310 – Job Classification and compensation has been followed for proper classification on the wage scales after development of a new job description. It is requested that the Board approve the staffing allocation adjustment, specifically to add Operations Coordinator and remove Purchasing Coordinator.
The adjusted position will have an additional cost in 2021 of $3,323.83, which can be covered within the current budget and no budget adjustment is being requested.
