BCATS FY 2022 Local Funding Resolution
Kelli Scott, Administrator/Controller, Administration
Resolved, the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners does hereby approve the Battle Creek Area Transportation Study's Fiscal Year 2022 Local Funding Resolution as presented.
It is recommended the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners approve the Battle Creek Area Transportation Study's Fiscal Year 2022 Local Funding Resolution as presented.
Local funding for BCATS is used to support the BCATS work program by matching available Federal transportation planning funds. BCATS' work program also provides funds to the CCRD to participate in BCATS work activities and plans. The FY 2022 Unified Work Program will make up to $11,000 in federal and local funds available to the CCRD for its participation in the traffic count program and up to $3,507 in 100% state funds available for asset management activities. In addition to these activities, the existence of BCATS makes it possible for local units of government to receive surface transportation, transit, rail, and Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The Road Department's share of funding for the FY2022 BCATS Work Plan is $20,827. This amount will be budgeted within Road Department Funds for 2022.
